- Antenna count: TP-Link's page says "8× Optimally Positioned Internal Antennas" and, in the same section, "12× optimally positioned antennas".
Stream-count math
TP-Link does not state streams per band. We calculated them: maker's rate ÷ the standard 802.11be rate of one stream at that width (4096-QAM, 0.8 µs guard interval) = n.
- 2.4 GHz: 1376 Mbps ÷ 344 Mbps (one stream, 40 MHz) = 4
- 5 GHz: 5760 Mbps ÷ 1441 Mbps (one stream, 160 MHz) = 4
- 6 GHz: 11520 Mbps ÷ 2882 Mbps (one stream, 320 MHz) = 4
The sum, 12, matches TP-Link's "12 Streams". The band widths used are an assumption that the maker's rates are at each band's widest channel.
What this means for speed
- The 10 Gbps port gives about 9493 Mb/s of TCP data (computed: 10000 × 1460 / 1538, RFC 6349 §4.1.1). Each 2.5 Gbps LAN port gives about 2373 Mb/s (computed).
- A wired device on a 2.5 Gbps LAN port is capped near 2373 Mb/s even on a faster plan; use a 10 Gbps port for multi-gig plans.
- The maker's per-band rates are PHY link rates, not TCP throughput.
